My name is Bruce Sankin. I was on this forum yesterday to discuss my other business, Insurance Help Centers, but I want to let you know that I am a financial author and columnist, and an arbitrator for FINRA for over seventeen years and a mediator for over thirteen year.

Based on what I'm hearing, it is my opinion that insurance agents will eventually need their Series 6 to sell index annuities. I believe any decision on 151 won't force agents to be Series 6 licensed for a few years. The one thing you can be sure of is the insurance industry will create new products for non-securities licensed agents.

I'm an agent in Florida. I have my 215 (life, health, and annuities). I also have the series 6. I suggest all agents get their Series 6. It wil be more of a hassle, but it gives you more product and opportunity.

We usually just buy leads as opposed to generating them via a website. Traffic from websites can of course be good but lead sellers seem to vet leads well enough. They convert into sales so long as we call them quickly. Websites are definitely a must and no business should be without one but buying leads is also still a great option.
